Adobe Lightroom 6 For Mac El Capitan

I have a new MAC with El Capitan! I wanted to subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud-PhotoShop/Lightroom for $9.95 a month-however I saw in some forums that these aps are having issues with El Capitan! I have a Mac OS v. 10.10.5 and want to be able to buy Lightroom, but the only latest version available that is compatible is Lightroom 5. I have searched and searched. Is there still a way to purchase Lightroom 5. If not, is there a way to purchase the new version and still be compatible? Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC 6.3 for El Capitan 10.11 also added preview feature and settings to ensure the user quick access to search and sort images, and also a system of noise reduction and sharpness-enhancing tools in processing raw images. Adobe and Apple have worked closely together to test Adobe Creative Cloud applications for reliability, performance, and user experience when installed on Intel-based systems running Mac OS X El Capitan (version 10.11). Direct tethering of most Leica cameras using Lightroom CC 2015 and Lightroom 6 is not currently supported on El Capitan.

Tethering Leica S (Typ 007) cameras is supported on El Capitan through the 'Leica Tethered Plug-in' which can be downloaded from the Leica Owners' Area.

  • The Leica Tethered plug-in provides a direct link from your Leica S (Type 007) to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 via a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed cable. The camera's shutter can be released via the plug-in, with all captured images being immediately displayed in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6. It is the ideal solution for a fast and stable tethered workflow.

Adobe recommends that customers who rely on Lightroom for tethering Leica cameras, other than the Leica S (Typ 007), do not upgrade to El Capitan at this time.
